There's a lot to do in the Lot !!!!

The Lot Valley is one of the most beautiful regions in France, a perfect holiday destination for your rural French farmhouse holiday. The area has remained fairly untouched by 20th century development and tourism and the rural way of life continues very much as it has for centuries. Local farmers seem happy to live a fairly subsistence lifestyle, and village markets continue to flourish. This is due, no doubt, to the local taste for fresh ingredients and traditional methods of regional cooking. Although medieval villages and towns are starting to be discovered by tourists looking for a more authentic France, they have managed to retain their old-world charm. Visitors are drawn to the stunning countryside, pâté, truffles, foie gras and fine wine. A perfect place for your family farmhouse in South West France!!!

The summers are hot and the pool is a great place to sunbathe and cool down. Music and wine festivals and village fêtes go on throughout this time. Canoeing along the river Lot is a lovely way to while away a day – in search of the perfect spot for a picnic, French style. And, talking of food, what better way to indulge in the region’s gastronomy than to install ones self at a local restaurant that specialises in foie gras, magret and cassoulet. How perfect to be here in your very own South West France Villa!
This area boasts many beautiful villages and the scenery is without a doubt truly stunning. It’s a perfect area to enjoy a wonderful family holiday in a countryside villa with your very own swimming pool. This region is vast but its worth mentioning just a couple of areas of interest.

The ancient city of Cahors sits on the River Lot and steeped in history. It is now a fashionable town with some superb restaurants, nice shops and an excellent Saturday market, bursting with local produce. Across the river is the town's signature piece, the Pont Valentré. This magnificent fortified bridge was built between 1308 and 1500 and features a trio of towers, battlements and seven pointed arches. The Cathédrale St-Etienne dominates the old town and features a sculptured Romanesque north portal, which was carved around 1135. Today the town is best known for its excellent cuisine and the fine deep red wine that is made in the surrounding vineyards. A good excursion from Cahors is the stunning cliff-edge village of St-Cirq-Lapopie, (31km) to the east. Perched high above the south bank of the Lot, the village, with its cobbled lanes, half-timbered houses and gardens, it is best visited village in history!

Why not book your South West France farmhouse today so you can enjoy the beauty of the Lot Valley. We have a few rural French farmhouses still with high season availability.

Wall to wall sunshine in sunny Agadir !!

Quality Villas has recently expanded into Agadir, one of Morocco’s most visited Southern cities. Agadir is not your typical city of traditional Morocco, but it is a modern, busy and dynamic town with well maintained beaches and palm-lined boulevards. There is a very western feel about the place with its beachfront bars, promenades and long sandy beaches. We have luxury beachside villas, both in a residential complex and offer quality accommodation with comfort in mind. As the weather is so good all year round why not book your Morocco luxury villa now!!

With a moderate climate with Mediterranean-like weather throughout the year with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine, the dry summers are the best time to visit, and an ideal time to take advantage of the miles of wonderful beaches and extensive tourist facilities. However, as Agadir boasts over 300 days of sunshine each year then it’s an ideal holiday destination at whatever time of the year for your beach villa holiday.

Spring temperatures see highs of around 17C-19C, with Agadir receiving only a maximum of around 40mm of rain during April and May. Rainfall during the summer months is practically non-existent, and during these dry summer months the sun shines for an average of 10 hours a day, with an abundance of cloudless blue skies. The region sees average temperatures of between 20C and 23C's between June and August, and occasional highs reaching 28C. Southwest trade winds blow along the coastline, serving to keep the temperatures down a little, and together with an average water temperature of 18C, help to create excellent surfing conditions for enthusiasts. Autumn sees temperatures slightly higher than those in the spring, averaging around 19C-21C. The winters tend to be mild, with Agadir still experiencing a minimum of 7 hours of sunshine each month. Perfect for your Agadir beach villa holiday.

I do like to be beside the seaside.....

Agadir is Southern Morocco's most visited city and a very popular tourist destination. Its sandy shores and modern coastal city is a huge attraction and it draws crowds of Europeans during the winter months. In fact while most people flock to the Canaries they forget that Agadir lies adjacent with beautiful parks, luscious gardens and beautiful beach front villas. The long sandy beach is swept every morning and kept spotlessly clean. The south end of the main beach has jet-skis for rental. Alternatively, dry activities like horse & camel riding, quad biking and beach buggies are also available and very popular. Stroll along the wide promenade where there are a number of bars and café's selling drinks and renting out sun-beds and umbrellas. Quality Villas has a portfolio of luxury Moroccan villas with two very special villas near Agadir.

I will be visiting Agadir very shortly to view our villas in Aglou Plage with its beautiful beaches with memorable sunsets. One such villa, that I will be staying in is Dar Aglou. This Moroccan family villa is spacious and beautifully equipped with its own private pool and situated in grounds which overlook a wonderful sandy beach. Tastefully furnished to a high standard, Dar Aglou offers the opportunity to enjoy winter or summer sunshine in a fabulous location. There are beach cafes and restaurants in Aglou Plage, whilst nearby there are opportunities to enjoy activities including windsurfing, deep sea fishing, hang gliding, horse riding and quad biking: all just two kilometres distant. For sightseeing the local town of Tiznit, with its famous Silver Souk, is a mere 15 minutes away. If, on the other hand, relaxation is your aim, then the pool and gardens will offer the perfect opportunity for relaxation. Optional full maid service, which can include some cooking if you wish, ensures that domestic cares will be abandoned is also available!! Why not escape the doom and gloom of the forthcoming General Election and fly on a budget airline plane to one of our luxury villas in Morocco. You won’t regret it!!
